Inventing minds are clear on the Top 3 most important traits for an inventor to possess:
Determination: 72%
Creativity: 69%
Patience: 64%
Inventors are largely positive about their future, with a majority of you looking forward to more invention success now compared to a year ago:
More optimistic: 58%
The same: 31%
Less optimistic: 11%
Not applicable: 1%
You’ve got good reason to be optimistic—most of you are confident your invention idea can generate at least seven figures:
$5,000,000 or more: 54%
$1,000,000 to $4,999,999: 24%
$500,000 to $999,999: 8%
$100,000 to 499,999: 4%
Less than 100,000: 4%
Not applicable: 6%
Sorry Eli Whitney—you didn’t make inventors’ Top 3 inventions that have had the most profound impact on humankind. What did:
Computer: 38%
Automobile: 19%
Penicillin: 16%(So, 25 years from now, will your invention make the Top 3?)

THE WINNERS OF OUR
NYC INVENTION CONTEST
We took to The Big Apple for our latest invention competition. After
all, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere (at least
that’s what Sinatra used to sing). And the city that never sleeps
certainly delivered—our expert panel of judges was inspired by NYC’s
entrants. And the winner… of invention services valued at $20,000… is:
Nieka B., creator of an inventive new women’s apparel product.
