Attention young inventors–think ahead & win!

August is National Inventors Month. It’s a time to celebrate what’s been invented, what we’re all doing today, and the inventions of tomorrow.

With this in mind, Inventors Digest magazine is holding an essay contest for middle school and high school students. It asks all you students out there to envision the world 50 years from now, in 2059, and to write about it.

Update: Patent Reform Act of 2009

In April’s newsletter we first reported that the U.S. Congress was taking up patent reform with champions from both parties in the House and Senate. One bill sponsor called it “the most significant bill introduced this year.”

Since this wide-sweeping legislation could significantly impact your invention, if passed – regardless of whether you’re at the idea stage or years into your patent – it would serve you well to keep up on the ongoing debate and keep telling your elected representatives what you think.
