I am absolutely satisfied with my pillow. No more stiff shoulders and neck in the morning and my snoring has been reduced to one time in two weeks that I have been using it. Well worth the price.

I have tried SO MANY pillows cheap and very expensive. This pillow is the best. I sleep sound. Without neck pain or shoulder pain. I love it so much i bought two more to make sure I will have a good pillow for years to come. This pillow should be in every hotel and hospital. I will NEVER sleep on any thing else.

It took a little time to become adjusted to this new type of pillow--but I must say I have not had a stiff neck since using it. I am very pleased with this outcome.

I love this pillow! I fall asleep faster, no wrestling a pillow into shape. I have arthritis in my neck, but since I have been using the Side Solution, not a twinge so far. And my back seems to like it, too. I'm sold!

I bought this Side Solution pillow a few months ago. It has a comfy-looking design with a U-shaped notch for your shoulder. Inside the zippered cover, which is filled with mystery fluff, are three stacked foam pads approximately one inch thick. You can remove any of the pads if the pillow feels too tall. It is a very firm, very heavy pillow.

One of the obvious issues with a uniquely shaped pillow is that normal pillowcases don't work well. The Side Solution pillow is designed to be used without a pillowcase, but I like to cover my pillows with an anti-allergen barrier and head-cooling sateen. With some squeezing and wiggling, I can pull the Side Solution pillow into a queen-size pillowcase, but the fabric bunches around the shoulder notch and I sometimes wake up with a pinched ear. The padded cover also doesn't launder very well; the inner fluff gets slightly lumpy. Also, the zipper feels especially delicate.

My chief complaint about this pillow is that it's too much work to find a neutral head-neck position. Every time I turn over during the night, I have to maneuver my shoulder into the notch, straighten my back (no curling up in 'full fetal' with this pillow), and then experiment a few times with the forward/backward tilt of my head. This demands more conscious effort (practice?) than simply rolling over in bed the way one does with a regular pillow, and I feel like the quality and quality of my sleep have suffered as a result.

The major benefit of this pillow is that it has dramatically reduced my neck pain. This is no small point. I would definitely recommend this pillow for people who need support around the base of their neck. Beats a stack of mushy regular pillows any day!

It will flatten a little over time, but if you want a better fit, consider using one of our adjustable versions instead (standard or deluxe). They're a little more expensive than the version you bought, but it's a nominal extra cost, especially compared to the amount of time you'll be sleeping on it and the importance of sleep to your health and well-being.]

the side solution pillow is definitely helping. I'm experiencing less neck pain and stiffness. I had been using a memory foam pillow but the way it was contoured didn't work all that well for me. The ssp has worked better and I do like its versatility. Thanks.

I've tried at least a dozen pillows that are supposedly designed for side sleepers. (Yes, even the "new" side sleeper pillow now at Walgreens. And that one was weird--it had a "lobe" which sort of grabbed my upper back and you were supposed to jam your ear into a sort of ear hole. Never worked. Awful!) Blech! They either left me with a stiff neck or dropped my head backwards into a ditch. I finally found the PERFECT pillow for a side sleeper. This one (by a company called "AbsolutelyNew") has a shape that allows my shoulder to tuck in--and although it looked too tall to be comfortable for my head, after a night's adjustment, has turned out to be the most comfortable pillow I've ever owned. I got the fiberfill one (not the memory foam) as I find foam to be too hard (like a block) and sometimes too hot. Besides, after trying out so many bad side pillows made of foam and other junk, I hungered for a real poly-filled pillow... you know, like normal people sleep on! The good news about this fiberfill is that it's designed so it doesn't break down and get floppy (which another "L" shaped fiber-filled pillow did after 2 nights!). Although my neck and back are good now, I have suffered with painful stiff neck in the past. But this pillow supports my head just right so I sleep soundly and feel rested. Anyway, if you always sleep on your side (like me) and are tired of trying to jam regular pillows into a good shape only to have them bounce back when you fall asleep, this pillow is for you! By the way, my chiropractor is recommending this pillow to her clients now.

A pinched nerve in my neck made any comfortable sleep difficult, UNTIL I found this pillow. Provides gentle support while still being soft enough against my neck and shoulder. Shape prevents me from "twisting" my neck and shoulder while asleep, and I wake up with less pain.

I have neck/back pain. I have bought hundreds of pillows trying to find a comfortable one, only to be disappointed after just a couple of days of use. I bought this pillow in February and after the very first night, I woke up pain free the following morning. The pillow cradles my neck and helps me to rest comfortably all night long. Six months later, it is still comfortable.

I'm not sure I can fully express how much I love this pillow. I injured my neck in a whiplash skiing accident a few years back and immediately began having problems with headaches and a stiff neck upon arising from sleeping in the mornings. I began chiropractic therapy and then found a great massage therapist who both worked on the condition but I was still having the occasional stiff neck in the mornings. I had been changing pillows repeatedly, always looking for "The Pillow" with enough support to end the inevitable sore neck. I found the solution in the standard side solution pillow. Although there are three sections of delightful memory foam which can be removed for a customized fit, I'm most comfortable using all three layers.

Headaches and stiff neck are a thing of the past now that I have the support my poor damaged neck needs. I have ordered a second pillow so I'll have one on each side of the bed and will be comfortable no matter which side I choose to sleep on. Thank you for creating this excellent product. Sadly, he still snores. BUT...as the suffering wife, this pillow makes it easier for me to adjust his head a bit to realign him, which makes him stop snoring...for a little while.

He says this is the best pillow he's ever had and that he doesn't feel tense around the shoulders when he wakes up.

He really likes that it's adjustable. I do too, because I've purchased some pillows in the past that lasted one night because they were too "tall."

Overall, it's a great pillow that holds its shape, and it fits with regular pillowcases which can be tucked up into the neck area easily.

17+ yrs. ago, I was hit by a car. I have lost count of the number of procedures and surgeries I have had to repair my neck and stop the constant pain I still have today. One problem is sleeping. There is no comfortable position, and every 1-2 hours I needed to change position, rearrange the 2-4 pillows I need, and I never get enough sleep. I ordered this pillow, but didn't really expect it to make much difference. Was I wrong! I can actually get 3-4 hours of sleep at a time, and when I do wake up, all I have to do is roll over to the other side. No rearranging pillows to find comfort. The pillow is firm enough that I get excellent support, yet not so firm that it hurts. I did need to add one more 1" piece of foam I had to get it to the exact height I needed, but having something so perfect actually brought tears to my eyes when I first used it! I wish there were extra custom-fit pillow cases available so that I can put a clean one on when I need to wash the other one, but if that is the only problem, I consider myself lucky that I found something that actually allows me to get some sleep because it gives me the support (and thus some pain relief) that I so desperately need.

I must have a closet with 10 different pillows that I have purchased in a vain attempt to find comfort. This pillow is great! I especially like the ability adjust the height to accommodate people of different sizes. The the memory foam is so soft and inviting when you lay down to rest. I LOVE it.

This pillow was recommended by a patient in the physical therapy program I attend. We both are recuperating from shoulder injuries. The other patient told me to purchase the pillow on Amazon. The dr. said I would not be able to sleep on my right side for a year, but last night, my first with this pillow, I slept on my right side and got a full night's sleep -- perhaps my first in 50 years!

I've been on a long frustrating journey to find the right pillow. I am a side sleeper and for me a pillow needs to be relatively firm and not too high or else it pushes my head up at an awkward and uncomfortable angle. The idea that I could adjust the number of layers with this pillow was very appealing to me, as well as the curved edge which is really helpful when you are a side sleeper. I can happily report that this pillow has really worked for me. I removed a one inch layer and the height is now a perfect fit. It is also the right firmness. The only downsides are that, as good as it is for side sleeping, it is not at all comfortable when I try to sleep on my back for short periods of time. And the covering provided for the foam layers has seams that are too prominent which I found irritating to my neck and head. The solution was to place the layers in a new casing. It was definitely worth the price.

This pillow is great for side sleepers. It keeps it's shape. No fluffing needed in the middle of the night. Helps to relieve pressure in the shoulder and neck area. I love the fact that it is adjustable for firmness.

I'm a side sleeper and have problems with my arms falling asleep and neck discomfort in the morning. I bought this pillow, laid down on it, tucked my shoulder into the recessed area and fell into the best sleep I've had in months!! I LOVE this pillow!! I think it's because my neck is finally in alignment while I sleep...I don't wake up stiff anymore. I especially like that you can remove layers of the memory foam to accommodate your own shoulders...it really is the best purchase I've made to enhance my sleep...I wake up feeling much more rested. My only gripe is that there are not pillow cases to fit it...I ended up buying some flannel stretch pillow cases at Bed Bath and Beyond but they don't quite cover the whole pillow but do allow the case to fold into the depression where your shoulder goes, where as a standard cotton case does not give in this area.

This pillow is a great buy for side sleepers. For the first time in a long while, I wake up without a sore neck. One of the things I really like about this pillow is that you can adjust it to the size you feel that is most comfortable. It is also reasonably priced for a pillow of this sort.

After having read the reviews already posted, I ordered this pillow hoping that the hype was real. I'm delighted to report that this IS the MOST comfortable pillow I've ever used. I experimented with adding/removing the pillow inserts until I found the combo that I liked the best. I am ordering one for my husband today and hope that it helps reduce his snoring.

I'm very happy I ordered this pillow! It really does work for a side sleeper. I experimented with changing the height, and wound up using the full available size as the most comfortable. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is it has an initial odor. I used a doubled pillowcase and gave it some air-out time, and am no longer bothered by the initial scent.

This is the best pillow I ever purchased!

This pillow is the perfect solution to my side sleeping woes. Every pillow I bought before would be fine at the beginning of use but eventually the loft would give out and I'd have a problem with a stiff, sore neck from my head sagging lower than my neck and shoulders during sleep. This pillow is the proper height and the contoured shape gives my head and neck the support they need. Hopefully the density of the memory foam will maintain the height I need for the forseeable future. I use all four layers of the pillow and have found that using a jersey knit pillow case works best as it stretches nicely over the pillow. I'm sleeping better than I have in a long time and I wake up without a sore neck, finally.

This pillow is wonderful. I'm a large person and this pillow has just the right firmness without being hard. I no longer fight with my pillow all night long. I have herniated disc in my neck and this pillow does a very good job of supporting my neck and head when sleeping on my side. I just love it. My daughter noticed that for as long as I've been using it that it is staying firm that she has asked for one so I'm ordering one for her and an extra one for me. I use regular pillow cases on this pillow with no problem just need to scrunch it to fit in the curve of the pillow but that does not cause a problem. Please don't change this pillow.

I have tried every brand and type of pillow and I have never had a better night of sleep! I was having severe neck and shoulder pain from sleeping on my side and now I wake up with no pain and sleep a full night!!! It has been so long since that has happened! I have tried many, many pillows, including special "side sleepers" in order to avoid sore shoulders and neck in the morning. This pillow is truly special because of the unique shape. The first night it was a little TOO thick, but as most pillows do, it settled down after a couple of nights and is now just the right thickness and amount of support. I really hesitated to spend close to $47 for a pillow I couldn't even touch before I bought it, but I'm so glad I did. It's a wonderful pillow, even when using it to sleep on your back. I will probably buy another just in case QVC stops carrying them. I don't want to ever go back to a regular flat pillow!

OK I used 3 pillows for years. Always waking up with headaches and neck aches, always tring to prop up more. Well guess what? Now I use only one. This one. I fall asleep and stay in one place.
